Skulls have staying power...

So for those of you who scoffed at paying $400 for the Alexander McQueen skull scarf last year (as did I,) and passed the 'skull craze' off as just another passe' trend, I have to sheepishly admit, we were ALL wrong. This goth-inspired trend just won't die. Skulls are everywhere once again this season, on scarves, sneakers, flats, shirts, cashmere sweaters, dresses, jeans and jewelry! So go ahead, invest in that skull-print piece because you'll be wearing it for months to come!!! If you feel like it's too diabolical for you, try one of the blinged-out skull pieces which add a glam edge to the trend. Or, if you're still too scared to shell out major loot for this Halloween-like stamp, there are lots of lower-priced options out there. I'm happy to say I picked up a $20 skull scarf at a discount department store last year which I'll pair with a simple black dress and pumps. Don't know where to start on your quest for bargain-booty? Stores like Forever 21 always follow the runway trends at prices everyone can afford. Can anyone say skull-chic??

And speaking of $20 finds, if you haven't picked up a pair of the patent Mary-Jane pumps at Target, you need to do so soon. They now come in a maroon-like red that's super cute. Get them before they're gone (and we know they will be sold out soon!)
